According to NYDN:
While the “Run the World” singer is
widely known for her chart-topping hits which just made her the first
female artist to have 12 songs on the Billboard top 100 she is also a
successful entrepreneur making waves in the business industry.
And her efforts were not overlooked by the business publication.
This year, Beyoncé launched her own
apparel line, Ivy Park and also teamed up with the watermelon water
startup, WTRMLN WTR. She also tried her hand in the fashion industry
once before when working on the contemporary women’s fashion line House
of Deréon with her mother back in 2005.
In 2007, the Grammy-winning
songstress launched her own entertainment and management company
Parkwood Entertainment, which expanded into a music label this year.
Fortune’s latest list is dominated by
woman running Fortune 500 companies, with many of their titles listed
as Chairman, President and SVP — but bonus pick Beyoncé is listed simply
as, “Queen Bee.”
